Vision and History

Vision

Our vision is to help anyone who reaches out to us on their journey to reconnect with nature and with themselves. We believe that nature heals. For that purpose, we’ve created a space for the Eco Retreat where nature develops freely and where we can experience our unity with life and find healing and relief from the stresses of daily life.

We strive to bring the concept of unity and oneness to life in a practical and experiential way. We deeply believe that we are all interconnected—One Earth, One Mind, One Humanity. Our goal is to help guests feel and explore this sense of unity, transcending all religions and dogmas. This belief guides everything we do, creating a space where individuals can connect with themselves, others, and the world around them on a deeper level.

Kiran’s story

I want to share my story with you. It all began with a dream of creating a space where people can reconnect with nature and themselves. This dream made me put all my efforts into setting up an Eco Retreat in a small village in Karnataka (Ravandur). As I pursued my dream, people from around the world came to join, to connect with nature, and support the project’s growth.

I was born in this village. When I was growing up, my family struggled to make ends meet. These hard times taught me how important social inclusion is and made me very grateful for the small things in life.

After high school, I studied yoga and massage therapy. My desire to help others brought me to various retreat centres worldwide, but something was always pulling me back home. I realized what I really wanted to do was to help socially excluded people in my home village. To connect with my roots.

I came back and created the Eco Retreat for travelers and individuals who are stressed by their everyday life. The Eco Retreat began to welcome participants and volunteers from all over the world.

No matter the obstacles placed in this path, I hold a very clear vision of how I aim to contribute to the world. I remain optimistic and determined in pursuing the realization of all the projects ahead. I am a dreamer with a message to share: I believe that every human being deserves to be healthy—mentally, physically, and spiritually.

This cause fuels me and is the driving force behind my actions each day, against all odds. It is my passion and my purpose, guiding me toward making a difference in the world.

There are some great success stories from these initial years. People with special needs learned to walk for the first time in our specially adopted yoga classes. Travelers from all over the world came to relax, connect with nature and also to participate in these community projects and help to make a difference. To heal themselves, and help others in their healing also.

When Covid hit, we had to shut down the Eco Retreat and stop many of our charity activities. But now we are back with a big dream. We want to open the doors of the Eco Retreat to everyone searching for peace of the mind and soul. To everyone who wants to come to connect with nature while supporting extremely important causes.

We are in the process of building a rehabilitation and recreation centre for people with special needs at another location for the project of Shanthi DhamaWe are also running a home for elderly people who are socially excluded at the edge of the village, with Karunashraya project.

By coming to the Eco Retreat, you directly support these community projects.
